Description

Offered here is Yang #2, published by Charlton Comics in May 1974 during the height of the martial arts craze that swept through comic books in the Bronze Age. This early issue features the title character in another action-packed adventure, accompanied by a dramatic cover showcasing swordplay, danger and exotic settings that perfectly capture the era’s fascination with kung fu and martial arts storytelling.

Created by writer and artist Warren Sattler, Yang followed the adventures of the mysterious martial arts hero as he travelled the world confronting criminals, warlords and supernatural threats using his mastery of combat and ancient wisdom. The series remains a cult favourite among collectors due to its unique blend of action, adventure and Eastern influences during a period when martial arts comics were becoming increasingly popular.

This vintage comic remains in collectible condition with signs of age and handling consistent with a circulated 1970s issue. The comic is housed in a protective sleeve with backing board for preservation and display.

A desirable addition for collectors of Charlton Comics, Bronze Age martial arts titles and fans of classic 1970s action comics alongside series such as Master of Kung Fu, Iron Fist and Richard Dragon, Kung Fu Fighter.
