Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? for the Sega Mega Drive is an educational detective adventure in which players travel around the world gathering clues and tracking down criminals from Carmen Sandiego’s organisation. Released for the Mega Drive in 1992, the game combines geography and general knowledge with investigation and puzzle-solving gameplay.
The game was originally developed by Broderbund Software, with the Mega Drive version programmed by Electronic Arts Canada and published by Electronic Arts. Players use clues about geography, landmarks and cultures to identify suspects and determine their next destination before eventually attempting to capture Carmen Sandiego herself.
