Description
Golden Axe for the Sega Mega Drive is a classic fantasy side-scrolling beat ’em up featuring the warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead. Released for the Mega Drive in 1989, players battle through hordes of enemies and mythical creatures on a quest to defeat the tyrant Death Adder.
The game was developed by Sega and published by Sega, adapting the company’s original arcade hit for the 16-bit Mega Drive. Gameplay combines weapon-based combat, powerful magic attacks and rideable creatures, with both single-player and cooperative two-player action.
