DC Comics Batman #183, published in August 1966. This classic Silver Age issue features a memorable Batman and Robin cover directly inspired by the enormous popularity of the 1960s Batman television series.
The cover shows Batman relaxing in the Batcave to watch The Adventures of Batman on television while Robin attempts to call him into action, accompanied by the wonderfully period tagline, “Holy Emergency!! What’s the real reason Batman’s goofing off?” The issue was released during the height of Batmania in 1966 and makes an especially appealing collectible for fans of the Silver Age and the Adam West television era.
