Description
Batman #462, published by DC Comics with a May 1991 cover date, begins the three-part “Spirit of the Beast” storyline with the chapter “To Live and Die in California.” The story was written by Alan Grant, with pencils by Norm Breyfogle, inks by Steve Mitchell, colours by Adrienne Roy, and lettering by Todd Klein. The striking cover was also drawn by Breyfogle.
The story sees Batman travel from Gotham to San Francisco after investigating the death of a businessman and the theft of Native American artefacts. His investigation leads him towards an ancient mystery and a confrontation involving the supernatural. The storyline continues through Batman #463 and #464.
