Description

Key Significance

First appearance of the Masters of Silence, a group of technologically enhanced ninja assassins who become recurring Iron Man adversaries. Part one of the “Masters of Silence” storyline and published during the popular late Michelinie/Layton era of Iron Man.

Description

Iron Man #281, published by Marvel Comics in June 1992, introduces the deadly Masters of Silence as Tony Stark faces a new technologically advanced threat. Written by David Michelinie with artwork by Mark Bright and cover art by Kevin Hopgood, the issue blends corporate intrigue, high-tech action and classic Iron Man storytelling. This copy presents very well with strong colours, excellent gloss and sharp overall eye appeal. Minor spine wear and light handling wear are visible, but the comic appears clean and well-preserved. Based on the front cover image, the book is estimated to be in VF/NM (9.0) condition. A desirable early-1990s Iron Man issue featuring the first appearance of a notable villainous faction.
