Resident Evil 4 for the Sony PlayStation 2 is a survival horror action game following Leon S. Kennedy on a mission to rescue the US President’s daughter from a mysterious cult in rural Europe. Released for the PlayStation 2 in 2005, the game introduced an influential over-the-shoulder perspective alongside exploration, puzzle solving and intense combat.
The game was developed by Capcom Production Studio 4 and published by Capcom. Directed by Shinji Mikami, Resident Evil 4 represented a major evolution for the series and became one of the most acclaimed entries in the Resident Evil franchise.
