Description
Samurai Shodown V is a weapon-based fighting game for the Sony PlayStation 2 and part of SNK’s long-running Samurai Shodown series. Originally released in arcades in 2003, with the PlayStation 2 version released in Europe in 2006, the game features a roster of samurai and other weapon-wielding fighters battling through fast-paced one-on-one matches.
The game was developed by Yuki Enterprise in collaboration with SNK Playmore and published in Europe by Ignition Entertainment. It retains the series’ distinctive 2D fighting style, with an emphasis on weapon attacks, careful timing and high-damage combat.
