Description
Turbo OutRun for the Sega Mega Drive is an arcade-style racing game and follow-up to Sega’s classic OutRun. Released for the Mega Drive in 1992, the game puts players behind the wheel of a high-performance Ferrari as they race across the United States, competing against a rival while navigating traffic and varied road conditions.
The original arcade game was developed by Sega AM2, with the Mega Drive conversion developed by Tiertex Design Studios and published by Sega. Turbo OutRun adds a turbo boost mechanic to the familiar high-speed OutRun formula, alongside vehicle upgrades and a series of stages based on locations across America.
